With ‘What’s Going On’, Electronic Emergencies turns back the clock to 1993. By then, Dutch brothers The R had made a name for themselves with releases like ‘Rave the Planet’ on legendary proto techno label ESP, and the four previously unreleased tracks on ‘What’s Going On’ were also created during the heyday of Dutch pre-trance techno house. Two of them are floor fillers reminiscent of early Prodigy-style breakbeat, accompanied by a neurotic acid gem and an ambient version of the title track. The R raves on!
